We started Galo five years ago, driven by the desire to create something truly unique.

There were no guarantees—just a lot of challenges and an unwavering sense of purpose. There was no blueprint, but we had a clear vision: to build watches that carry meaning, character, and our own take on design.

The word Galo means rooster in Portuguese—a bold symbol we’ve embraced from day one to remind ourselves to stay true to our vision. We don’t come from a traditional watchmaking background, and there’s no fancy surname behind this brand—just an honest, sincere desire to create simply great timepieces.

I can’t tell my story without mentioning the watches that left a mark on me—like the first Casio I got as a kid, or the Seiko SKX007 my father gave me, which sparked my passion for horology. Since then, I’ve owned many watches, but only a few have truly meant something to me.
